RBL Flying the Flag
Eddie Hefferman, Terry Salmon and BFG's own 'Poppy Man' represented the RBL at the Divisional Careers Transition Fair, held on the 16th of March in the Shützenhalle, Herford. The day was for people leaving the forces and seeking employment, mainly in the UK and Germany, although there were also stands from as far as Spain. The team from the RBL were there to remind those heading for 'civvy street' that they can not only continue to help service and ex-service members and their families, but that once out, the British Legion is still there to help them.

There has been a request from a Mr James Davies in the UK for information on or photos of a Ferret Mk1 Armoured Car that he has restored. It had the registration 02CC12 and did 30 years service in Harewood Barracks with various Regiments. Maybe you think you can help, or just want more information?

The Rheindahlen Branch have started an online forum for all things RBL. It is primarily meant for their own branch but they have opened it up to other branches within the District of Germany, and there is a specific area for Herford Branch Members to use. Pop along and after a very simple matter of registering you can join in the discussion.

If you have any news or information that you think will benefit the rest of the Branch please email the webmaster so he can keep the site fresh, up to date and useful.

A few pages have been dropped from the site. The 'Womens Section' page has been moved over to the District of Germany Site (here) where it really belongs, and the 'District' page has also been superceded by the District of Germany website (here).

Any news, information, changes to dates or timings of meetings or events will be posted here as soon as it is available, so be sure to look back regularly.
